FAQ
Why should I use this instead of desktop software like Photoshop?
This tool works instantly without downloads or installation. It provides core editing features like drawing, cropping, filters, and text while keeping your images completely private. Desktop software offers more advanced features but requires installation, updates, and often subscription fees. Use this for quick edits or when you need editing software on any device.
What happens to my image quality when I apply filters?
Most filters like grayscale, brightness, and contrast can be undone without quality loss while editing. Blur permanently removes detail that cannot be recovered. Exporting to JPEG or WebP with quality below 100% causes permanent compression loss. Use PNG export to preserve maximum quality, though files will be larger.
Can I edit photos from my phone or camera?
Yes, upload photos by clicking Browse Files or dragging them to the upload area. Large images are automatically resized to 1200×800 pixels for smoother editing. This does not affect your original file and you can still export at full quality. For very large images like 4K photos, consider using desktop software.
Why does selective blur look blocky instead of smooth?
Small selection areas (less than 50×50 pixels) show visible blocks because there are not enough pixels to blend smoothly. Select a larger area and use moderate intensity (50-70%) for better results. Very high intensity creates exaggerated effects. Use circular selections instead of rectangles for faces or sensitive areas.
How do I save my work to continue editing later?
This tool does not save editing sessions. When you close the page, all work is lost unless you download the result first. Download your image before closing. To make more edits later, re-upload the downloaded image. This is a privacy feature so your images never persist on our servers.
